Optical Illusion

So far I have been giving you guys a lot of do it yourself decorating ideas, but lately I have been providing art crafts for you kids. These crafts are all able to go up on the wall and create a decorative piece for your house all by itself! All of these ideas are perfect to go in your children's bedroom, their bathroom, or even the hallway! Even though every art piece is special, these ones are able to be created on a large canvas or poster board that gives any hallway some cute spice!

This decorative craft may be for the older kids in middle school because it can be a little more challenging than your average craft project. Here we’re going to do create an optical illusion. Draw an outline of a hand which includes half of the arm as well on any piece of paper. Do this very lightly because we don’t want to see these lines by the end of the project. Next, start drawing freehand lines straight across the paper. When part of the drawn hand is in the way of the straight line, “crawl over” the finger or hand with curves and arcs. The closer these lines are too each other the better this picture will turn out. As you get towards finishing, it totally looks like an optical illusion! Even though it’s more difficult than other crafts, it’s still super simple compared to what it looks like at the end! It appears as if it took hours to create, making any kid look like a professional
